Playground net in Seregno
Public use net made for the
Municipality of Seregno with 3 UNI EN certifications.
The setting
The Municipality of Seregno needed to create a custom-made playground to enhance the trees present in the playground: a Celtis australis, a Tilia europaea, and a Cedrus deodara.
Our solution
We conducted a thorough site inspection together with the architecture firm responsible for the design of the entire new playground area and with the administration. We initiated the study of the net and the weight loads it had to comply with. Once we received approval from all involved parties, production commenced. Meanwhile, the involved trees underwent three respective tensile tests with positive results. Due to the very tight deadlines set by the Municipality of Seregno, we assembled and tested the structure in just two days, obtaining certification through a third-party inspection body for compliance with the following standards:
- UNI EN 1176-1:2018 "Playground equipment and surfacing - Part 1: General safety requirements and test methods"
- UNI EN 1176-7:2020 "Playground equipment and surfacing - Part 7: Guidance on installation, inspection, maintenance, and operation"
- UNI EN 15567:1:2020 "Sports and recreational facilities - Rope courses - Part 1: Construction and safety requirements"
The result
The net has been in use since November 2023.
